Rent Regulation Compliance
The Firm advises owners, managers, lenders, and tenants of rent-controlled and rent-stabilized apartments on regulatory requirements, and frequently performs due diligence in connection with the purchase or sale of rent-regulated properties. The firm also appears in administrative proceedings before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR), and in Article 78 court appeals of DHCR decisions.
Landlord-Tenant Litigation
The Firm appears on behalf of a variety of clients, including individual and corporate building owners, managers and tenants, in landlord-tenant disputes. The Firm represents clients at all stages of litigation, from predicate notice through settlement, motion practice, trial and appeal.
